I love to make my own cleaning products. Yes, it can be a little more time consuming. However, the overall benefits of knowing exactly what is put in your home and on things you use on a daily basis are well worth the 5 minutes it takes to blend it together.

In the beginning I have found that the hardest thing to get for the cleaners I wanted to make were the essential oils. And I highly recommend Mother Nature.com as they have had awesome sales and their oils are very high quality.

Once you have a decent selection of oils ( I started out only having tea tree oil) and some basic supplies like baking soda and vinegar you are pretty much set for a years worth of cleaning.
